Political satire magazine returns

Frank magazine will soon rise up to again poke fun at Canadian politics. There is just so much juicy news on Parliament Hill that former publisher and editor Michael Bate says the time is right for the publication to be resurrected on line.

Senator Mike Duffy may once again be featured in Frank because of his current involvement in an expense scandal. Before he became a senator, Duffy was frequently featured in the magazine which he sued for libel and defamation.

Exhausted by expense scandals in the Senate, allegations the mayor of Toronto used drugs and revelations of widespread corruption in the awarding of public contracts in the province of Quebec, Canadians may well be delighted at the prospect of some comic relief.

Frank was published from 1989 to 2004 and from 2005 to 2008.
