Just back as a keynote speaker at the first meeting of the World Indigenous Network in Darwin Australia, Ashley Iserhoff talked to RCI about his presentation and the challenges facing indigenous peoples both in Canada and around the world.

Ashley Iserhoff is the Deputy Grand Chief of the Grand Council of Eeyou Istchee (People’s Land) of a vast territory of 400,000 kilometres in the norther part of the province of Quebec in Canada.

RCI’s Wojtek Gwiazda talked to Ashley Iserfoff about his speech in Darwin, and the decades long battles of the Cree First Nation to fight for a degree of aboriginal governance.

“Things have to change…you have to include indigenous people.”
