100% T-Shirt: a new documentary looks at the evolution

ListenThe T-shirt is said to be over 100 years-old.  It began as an undergarment for men in the American Navy in 1913.  Kaveh Nabatian gave the subject a little thought and when he realized a T-shirt was almost part of his daily uniform, he decided to look a little deeper into the history of the ubiquitous cotton garment.

100% T-Shirt, produced by Intuitive Film,  features some well-known Canadians. People like comedian Sugar Sammy and musical duo, sisters Teagan and Sara, as well as Nabatian’s good friend Perry of Arcade Fire sharing their views on the T-shirt.

Carmel KIlkenny speaks with Kaveh Nabatian to find out why he has said, ‘After you watch this movie, you’ll be able to make better decisions about how you buy a T-shirt, and you’ll look at T-shirts in a different way.’
