Canada’s provincial and territorial premiers wrapped up the 55th Annual Premiers’ Conference with unity on Friday (August 29), after dealing with a wide range of issues including, trade, immigration, health care and relations between the federal and provincial governments.
But despite that unity, it still is clear that Canada’s national federal government controls more revenues than the provinces, and does not necessarily agree with some of the priorities of the provinces or territories.
