Two Canadians make it from Alberta to Mexico…by foot

What is the farthest you have ever walked?

Wednesday, a pair of 25-year old childhood friends were expected to complete the more than 5,400-kilometre hike from their front door in Jasper, Alberta, to the Mexican border.

Liam Harrap and Jake Alleyne skied and snowshoed for about one tenth of their journey — for the rest they walked in snow, in rain, across deserts, up and down 100 mountains, for eight months.

You can find out more about their adventures, which they mostly chronicled in pictures, in their blog A Doorstep Adventure.
