Popular TV co-host found dead in Toronto alley

Police have confirmed the body of Christopher Hyndman, the co-host of an afternoon talk show, was found in an alleyway shortly after 11pm Monday in Toronto’s east end. No further details were available and a police investigation continues.

Hyndman and his partner in business and in love, Steven Sabados, co-hosted several successful programs, the latest, an afternoon talk show on the public broadcaster, CBC. Hyndman often played the joker, while Sabados played on a calm and pragmatic demeanor. The show featured topics like design, entertainment, cooking, and fashion.

The two had been together for decades before they came out as a gay couple in 2008.

CBC has extended its deepest sympathies to Steven, family, friends and colleagues and has pulled the program off the air.
