Who hasn’t heard the saying ” the rich get richer, the poor get poorer”?

A new study seems to indicate that certainly is the case.

In fact the report from Oxfam noted that a mere sixty-two people in the world own as much wealth as half of the entire population of the world combined.

Oxfam says they manage this in part by keeping vast sums through tax-avoidance schemes.  That money could be used to help lift the poor out of their impoverished situations.

Lynn spoke with Julie Delahanty, executive-director of Oxfam Canada.
