Josh Donaldson, the 2015 AL MVP, is having another superb season in 2016 as the Jays take a serious run to the playoffs. We Donaldson under a white and blue Blue Jays cap. He has long, blondish sideburns (almost 1970s style) and a wide, wide smile across his mouth which is agape.

It’s Labour Day, time for the real baseball season to begin

Labour Day can mean a lot of different things to many people.

For baseball fans it marks the real beginning for the real run for the post-season roses.

We see the pair (with Martin on the left) about to enter the Jays dugout where they are being greeted by some teammates who are very, very happy. All are wearing blue jerseys and grey pants.

And for the second straight year, the Toronto Blue Jays are right in the middle of things–fighting with the Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles for the American League East title.

The Jays are a very good team. So is Boston. The Orioles have pitching problems, but their hitters are as good as it gets.

September is going to be a blast.

Whether or not the Jays can rekindle the magic that got them to last year’s World Series remains to be seen, but fans across Canada and more than prepared to find out.

On this Sunday morning, we invite you to listen to a little baseball talk with Richard Griffin, the Toronto Star’s baseball columnist, who is this writer’s opinion, is the best baseball journalist in the country.

He spoke to RCI by phone from his home in Toronto.
