The World Economic Forum has issued a shocking (if not surprising) report on the wage disparity between men and women.
Canada did not do especially well, ranking 30th in the world, having closed 74 per cent of its gender gap.
The report measured differences in economics, education, health and political empowerment and concluded that if current trends continue the gap will not be closed for another 170 years.
Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Rwanda topped the Global Gender Gap index.
All have closed more than 80 per cent of their gender gap.
