Toronto architect and editorial cartoonist Shahid Mahmood has run into a bureaucratic brick wall at every turn as he’s tried, over the past eight years, to clear his name from a no-fly list. Mr. Mahmood suspects that the critical nature of some of his post 9-11 cartoons is what got him there in the first place.

Jayson Stoffman has been leading a team of medical practitioners to India over the past few years, lending their expertise to the Haemophilia Society of Delhi. Dr. Stoffman, who practices medicine in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a specialist in childhood blood disorders. He talks about the challenges young patients face in India and the contribution he and his team are making to help them and their doctors face those challenges.
