Canadian scientists make stem cell breakthrough: University of Calgary biologist Derrick Rancourt and his team made a breakthrough in creating artificial stem cells. They refined a method originally developed in Japan and were able to eliminate a potentially cancer-causing gene in the cells. Frank Rackow has the story.
