Canada's PM Stephen Harper starts six day visit to India at Taj Majal

Canada's PM Stephen Harper visits Taj Mahal in Agra, India.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper visited the Taj Mahal in Agra at the beginning of a six-day official visit to India.

“Canada enjoys a strong working and personal relationship with India but we must further strengthen the links between our two countries,” said the Prime Minister before leaving on his trip. “India is a growing economy with enormous potential, and expanding our trade and investment links with India will create jobs, growth and long-term prosperity here in Canada."

This is the Prime Minister's second official visit to India.

The Prime Miniister and a delegation from Canada will be in India until Friday, November 9. They will then go to the Phillipines and Hong Kong.
