RIDM film festival - documentaries from Canada and around the world

Picture
The Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal (Montreal International Documentary Festival) was founded in 1998 to showcase documentary films and filmmakers. The festival organizers make a point of focussing on formats and filmmakers who are not constrained by the format needs of television.

Based in the Canadian province of Quebec, the festival points to the province's documentary tradition as part of the backbone of its successful film industry.

The festival started on November 7 and wraps up on November 18.
