Federation of Municipalities launches Great Canadian Infrastructure Challenge

A federation representing municipalities across Canada has launched "The Great Canadian Infrastructure Challenge"

The challenge starts with this question "When was the last time you talked about municipal infrastructure with your family, friends or colleagues at work? You might say that you never do, but the fact is many of us talk about infrastructure on a daily basis and don't even know it."

The infrastructure challenge is an initiative of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).

"So much of our everyday lives relies on quality municipal infrastructure," said FCM president Karen Leibovici. "When something goes wrong - whether it's an aging water main that breaks and floods our street or traffic gridlock that prolongs our commute - we immediately feel its impact on our families and businesses."
