In it, we learn that Thomas D'Arcy McGee arrived in the United States as an Irish refugee in the mid-nineteenth century. Ironically, he left that country for Canada thinking it a much better place to raise his children. Ironically, because it was in Canada that Thomas D'Arcy McGee was assassinated some years later.
