THE LINK - PANEL DISCUSSION

Opinions, debates, discussions... We like it hot!

Gender attitudes and how they affect children's sense of self

Our weekly panel discussion features three parents weighing in on the issue of keeping a child's gender private. It's a choice that's been much debated since a Canadian couple went public with their decision not to tell anyone whether their infant, named Storm, is a boy or a girl. Vahe Tokmajyan, a Calgary-based sculptor originally from Armenia, Nadia Zouaoui, a freelance journalist and film-maker from Montreal, originally from Algeria, and Rufo Valencia, a reporter with RCI's Latin American section, originally from Bolivia, join Marc Montgomery to share their thoughts.

Many Canadians are talking about the price of gas. For some in this country, the price is becoming harder and harder to afford. And few of us can choose to stop driving altogether. Panel - Disaster relief fundraising

Our weekly panel discussion examines what it means to be away from one's country of origin when it's hit by a natural disaster, such as an earthquake. Gilda Salomone is joined by two Canadians, one from New Zealand, the other from Japan; who watched from afar as their hometown or country was devastated by an earthquake.
