Scientists are predicting global warming will cause massive ecological changes to Canada's prairie grasslands and boreal forests by 2100. Plant and animal species native to the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba will move north. Marc Montgomery speaks with Canadian plant ecologist Jeff Thorpe, the Principal Scientist in the Saskatchewan Research Council's Ecosystems and Forestry unit.
