The decision by the city of Gatineau, in West Quebec, to come up with a code of conduct for its immigrants has polarized opinions across the country.
The statement of values produced by the city is meant to help the settlement of immigrants by spelling out what is acceptable and what is not, both in public and at home, including cooking smelly foods and killing people for honor. The Link's Valérie Morand has more on what this code is all about and the reaction it provoked.
