Police have executed a search warrant on the Calgary office of Canadian mining company Blackfire Exploration. The company is suspected of paying bribes to a mayor in Mexico to keep protesters at bay. Canada has, in the past, been criticised for lax enforcement of anti-corruption laws. Activists hope this raid signals a change.
