Pamela Mordecai's Subversive Sonnets

Picture
Pamela (Pam) Mordecai's "Subversive Sonnets" takes on many challenges in forms, themes and approaches. This new collection of poetry was launched Thursday in Toronto by TSAR Publications.

In a wide-ranging conversation with RCI's Wojtek Gwiazda she talks about sonnets and how she's adapted their musicality. She discusses the themes she raises, and the humour and respect with which she deals with them. She talks about language and the rhythms of language, and how she explores them through her poetry.
