Plan chosen for relocating mininig town in Arctic Sweden

Moving to avoid the mines that honeycomb the ground under this northern city, Kiruna is to be entirely rebuilt a few kilometres east.

The firm White Architects from Stockholm was chosen as the winner of the contest to build new Kiruna, with their proposal, named “Kiruna 4 ever”.

On the 26th of march the municipal council will meet to decide whether to confirm this plan.
