As of May 1, people who own dogs will need passports for their pets in order to travel with them between Sweden and Norway, since several cases of tapeworm have been reported in Sweden.

According to Swedish Television News Värmland, pets will also need certification from the veterinarian that they have been treated against tapeworm. Norway does not have reported incidents of tapeworm.
