Contaminated water has been discovered in a reservoir in northern Sweden, meaning that people in the town of Örnsköldsvik should boil their water, reports Swedish news agency TT.

More test results are expected on Monday.

The warning applies to people in the communities of Mellansel, Brandtjäl, Yttersel, Gottne, Hållen and Östansjö.

Residents in the town of Haparanda are no longer advised to boil their water, after tests on Saturday evening showed there was no E coli bacteria.
