Heffel’s Fine Art Auction house is offering several great works by some major Canadian artists. A collection of 142 lots has been revealed and includes some magnificent pieces. It was under the authority of the British crown that treaties for aboriginal land were negotiated and signed with Canada’s First Nations. Those agreements were long-term treaties meant to stand « for as long as the sun shines, the grass grows and the rivers flow » and some are now the basis for newer agreements.
