Beaches
Prince Edward Island is famous for its sandy beaches. Every year, it attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists who come to enjoy the warmer waters of Eastern Canada. Until the mid-1990’s, ferry services were the only link between the island and the mainland. Since the opening of the Confederation Bridge, in 1997, tourism has been growing. It is now the second largest industry in the province, after agriculture.
