Boil water advisory lifts for Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut

Residents in Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut, can drink water from the tap again after a boil water advisory lifted Monday.

The advisory was put in place Aug. 25 after officials warned of contamination in the water reservoir.

Nunavut’s health department issued a news release Monday to say the water boil advisory has been lifted. It did not provide any details on the source of the contamination or how it was contained.
