Graham Shonfield, a student at Carleton University, knew little about Canada’s First Nations’ reserves and it was something he wanted to change. So, he spent time volunteering on the Gull Bay First Nation reserve, about 200 kilometers from Thunder Bay in Northern Ontario. As part of his time there, he made a documentary about the issues that most concern people in that community. Gilda Salomone spoke with Graham Shonfield about his documentary « Life on The Reserve » and about why he thinks more Canadian students should spend time in a First Nations community.
