How far does the northern part of Nunavut go?

The Arctic Circle

The northern part of Nunavut extends to the edge of the Arctic Circle. More than half of the Inuit communities in the territory are scattered across this land of tundra, permafrost, rocks, steep mountains, snow and ice. No roads connect these communities. The airplane and the snowmobile are the means of transport best suited to the harsh climate.
