What is the name of the largest river in the Northwest Territories?

Lakes and rivers

The Northwest Territories has an extensive network of countless lakes and rivers, which are remnants of the ice age. The majestic Mackenzie River, one of the largest rivers in North America, constitutes its main artery. Two of the six largest lakes in the world, Great Bear Lake and Great Slave Lake (named after the Aboriginal community which inhabited its shores), are also situated in the Northwest Territories.
