He began in the early days of Radio Canada International.  For a time he returned to France to satisfy a desire to become a playwright.  During his career, he wrote several plays, novels and philosophical works, he performed in theater and film and directed a few pieces.  But this man of radio is part of the collective memory of Quebecers spanning generations.

Jacques Languirand received several awards including the Canadian Governor General’s Award in 1962, the Commonwealth Arts Festival Medal in 1968 and in 1978, the Bookseller’s Award.  He was also awarded the Special Prize of the International Competition, Onassis Foundation Theatre 2001.

Jacques Languirand left his microphone in February 2014, defeated by Alzheimer’s disease.

  1. Pokerogue isn’t just about luck; it’s about making smart decisions. The blend of poker mechanics and rogue-like strategy ensures that players must think critically and plan their moves carefully. This deep strategic layer is what sets Pokerogue apart from simpler card games.
