Europe and the US stand united ahead of Alaska meeting: Swedish PM

- US President Donald Trump and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin will meet in Alaska on Friday evening Swedish time, to discuss the war in Ukraine.
- Ahead of the meeting, European leaders including Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson have met with US leaders online, and stressed the importance of Ukraine negotiating its own future.
- According to Ulf Kristersson, the US and Europe have never before been this united on Ukraine: “How the war in Ukraine ends will be decisive for security in our part of the world for at least a generation to come,” he said.
