Electricity to get more expensive in the north due to new Sweden-Finland powerline

  • A new electricity transmission line between Sweden and Finland is set to come online on Wednesday afternoon.
  • The Aurora Line is expected to lead to more expensive power prices in northern Sweden in the short term.
  • Prices in northern Sweden will end up closer in line with prices on the Finnish side of the border, which are somewhat higher.
