Eye on the Arctic Breaks News
It’s been an exciting day here in the Eye on the Arctic headquarters: we broke news! – Just a couple of weeks after officially going live. Site producer and journalist Levon Sevunts was up in Alert – the northernmost tip of Nunavut, Canada covering a Canadian Forces military exercise, Op Nunalivut 10. It turned out that Tom Smitheringale, an Arctic adventurer travelling solo had fallen through the ice. It was just by coincidence that the Canadian Forces were there to rescue him.
