Canada Celebrates National Aboriginal Day
National Aboriginal Day is marked on June 21 all across Canada. The holiday was started in 1996 to highlight the often overlooked contributions of First Nations, Métis and Inuit.
Today, it’s being marked differently all across the country, whether laying a wreath at a veterans memorial to honour aboriginal soldiers or just hanging out with friends and family.
