Working construction in Canada’s High Arctic is not for the faint of heart.
But since 2014, work crews from all over Canada have been rotating in and out of the Arctic community of Cambridge Bay, Nunavut to get the Canadian High Arctic Research station ready in time for Canada’s 150th birthday in July 2017.
Earlier this year, Eye on the Arctic visited in the site to meet some of these workers and hear about what working construction in the High Arctic is really like.
