Nordic ministers present joint plan to promote electric aviation

Prince Albert II of Monaco made a flight in Nice on September 14, 2021, in an electric plane piloted by the Swiss Raphael Domjan, founder of the SolarStratos project. Scandinavian airlines is releasing tickets for its first ever electric flights, expected to take place in Sweden, Denmark and Norway in 2028.
  • Nordic transport ministers have presented a joint declaration on promoting the development of electric aviation.
  • Swedish Infrastructure Minister Andreas Carlson says it will strengthen cooperation in this field across the region.
  • He says electric aviation can improve flight availability and reduce emissions.
