NATO’s new Nordic command structure aims to deter Russia

- NATO has now outlined its new command structure in the Nordic region, following Sweden and Finland’s accession, dividing responsibilities for air, ground and logistics operations between the various Nordic countries.
- The air operations command is already in place in Bodø, Norway; Enköping in Sweden will host logistics, Finland will host the ground command, and Denmark the special forces.
- The changes will strengthen NATO’s ability to deter Russia and respond to crises, defence analyst Jakob Gustafsson tells Swedish Radio News.
