Life as an LGBT person in the Swedish military
The Swedish Armed Forces wants to be an inclusive organisation.
In recruitment ad campaigns the Swedish Armed Forces says ‘come as you are’. Mikael Wallentin Åström joined the military as a conscript in 2006 and is now the advisor to a lieutenant general.
We spoke to him at Stockholm Pride about life as a gay man in the army.
