Nunavut Environment Minister Rejects Polar Bear Trade Ban

According to the Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), the polar bear is an Appendix 2 species, and can still be exported with a permit from Canada. 175 countries will vote later this month in Doha, Qatar on whether they will ban polar bear trade.
