Green city defies polluted ground

greencityA northeastern stretch of Stockholm is now being turned into a new neighbourhood with homes for 10,000 At the foot of giant gas towers that testify to the area’s industrial past, it’s all being done as greenly as possible. That’s despite oil-tinged water and polluted soil. Radio Sweden paid a visit on a late winter’s day to speak with Energy Minister Anna-Karin Hatt and find out how the words “environmentally friendly” and “economic growth” can co-exist.
