Finnish jets take to sky in international exercise
Eight Hornet fighters from the Finnish Air Force are taking part in the Nordic Air Meet in Sweden. Some 65 aircraft from six countries are participating in the two-week exercise, which starts on Monday.
In addition to Finland and Sweden, other countries joining the air exercise are Denmark, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
The Nordic Air Meet will run from August 27 to September 7.
The Finnish planes will fly from bases in Rovaniemi, in Finland’s Arctic Lapland province, and Halli, central Finland. A total of 80 Finnish personnel are involved in the exercise.
