Sub-zero temperatures and snow hit Sweden
Winter will hit Sweden this week with snow and cold temperatures in much of the country, according to the weather service SMHI.
Strong winds and snowfall are expected in the south, which is already seeing snow in parts of the Småland region. Heavy snowfall will hit the east coast towards the end of the week.
“It will be very cold in the north, with temperatures from -10 to -20 degrees Celsius,” meteorologist Emil Björck at SMHI tells Swedish news agency TT.
“The far south may even see some snow. The prognosis is uncertain and it is hard to say how much snow will fall.”
