Sweden at the helm of Nordic cooperation

Among the other changes from the beginning of the year, Sweden has taken over the presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

But how big a place is there still for this Nordic cooperation when three of the countries, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, are members of the European Union, and the other two, Norway and Iceland, are not associated with the EU?
