New Norwegian vessel designed to remove plastic from Arctic waters

According to the organization In The Same Boat, from 2017 to 2023, their twelve vessels have cleaned more than 1500 tonnes of litter along Norway’s entire coastline. They are now reaching new territories.

In this episode of CBC Radio’s The Broadcast, host Paula Gale speaks to Rolf-Ørjan Høgset, founder of the NGO In the Same Boat, about the new vessel his organization is using to help clean plastic out of Arctic waters. The Norwegian ship is called The Beast.
