Wind power company accused of cover-up in northern Sweden

The wind farm is near Uljabuouda. Photo: Radio SwedenSwedish power company Skellefteå Kraft has not warned the general public that their mountain wind turbines near Uljabuouda in northern Sweden can throw big blocks of ice over 100 metres.

The local indigenous Sami community of Maskaure has been warned. Chairman Peter Larsson says to Swedish Radio that the power company told him that it is deadly dangerous to be in the mountaints.

A source that Swedish Radio trusts, says anonymously that the power company’s staff have been forbidden to tell the general public of the dangers.
