This week, we’re off to the ballet and an marvelous extraganza inspired by the music of Elton John and Bernie Taupin.
With input from Sir Elton himself, the Alberta Ballet created a spectacle of contemporary dance, ballet, music, and theatre.
It’s called “Love Lies Bleeding” and currently being performed in Montreal.
RCI’s Marc Montgomery speaks with the company’s artistic director Jean Grand-Maitre to learn more about Alberta Ballet, this production, and the possible future direction for ballet.
