
On this edition, a look at a coalition of Canadian medical professionals and associations who are saying that because voluntary controls are not working, it’s time for them to get more vocal and demand action to stop the marketing of unhealthy foods to children. They say they’re seeing to many cases of obese children, and too many cases of adult diseases like diabetes in children and its mostly due to bad food choices and too much food.

Wojtek presents his story about negotiations between Canada’s diplomatic service personnel, and the federal government over new contracts and they say because of a lack of progress they’re being forced to take the highly unusual step of staging strikes.

Although Lynn couldn’t be in studio with us today, she did leave a story about eating bugs. They’re actually a healthy source of protein and while there are a vast number of people around the world who regularly eat bugs, the United Nations says more of us should. Lynn speaks to a man who’s developed a cricket farm to produce a clean source of this food.
