Ontario students to perform with the Rolling Stones

It’s certain to be an amazing experience, and a lifetime memory for members of an Ontario high-school choir.

The Rolling Stones will be performing in Toronto on Saturday night and a group of teenagers will be backing them up on the song, You Can’t Always Get What You Want.

The students are members of the Cawthra Park Secondary School choir in Mississauga, near Toronto.

The choir was contacted by an agent of the Stones in England who had been making inquiries in each city regarding qualified young choirs to back the Stones in the various venues of this tour.  For the Toronto gig, the choir of Cawthra Park Secondary  of Mississauga was suggested and emails were sent to coordinate the event.

The Stones musical scores and arrangements were then forwarded to the high school for the choir to practice along with the staging setup which will have the choir split into two groups, one group on each side of the stage during the arena performance

They were also requested to try to achieve a little bit of a British accent when singing.
