Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles offers Walking Tours

The Quartier des Spectacles is where all the action is, some might say.  It’s certainly the location of a whole lot of great entertainment.

The Place des Arts, with its two great theatres is at the heart of it all, with the new concert hall built to feature the Montreal Symphony Orchestra at its best, just next door, and the choice of some great restaurants all in a square mile.

Now there are walking tours that will take people into the very nerve centre that controls the lights, the cameras and videos that light up the place in the most creative ways at night.  The Monument National is a theatre that would have great stories to tell if the boards could talk. Visitors will get the sense of history in this venerable space.

And as one walks east the future of the Quartier will be revealed as the work of renewal and renovation continues in the one of the great destinations in Canada.

Carmel Kilkenny spoke with Alexandra Maier, Marketing and Communications director for the Quartier des Spectacles to find out more.
