The LINK Online #57

Listen

The LINK Online this week includes Lynn Desjardins, and Terry Haig replacing Wojtek Gwiazda, and Carmel Kilkenny sitting in for Marc Montgomery.

The program features two medical stories:  Lynn’s interview with Dr. Victoria Lee, asking that physicians provide an example and counsel to their patients regarding cell phone use;  not in the car!  Whether it is texting or talking is too dangerous.  Dr. Lee calls it “Driven to Distraction”

Terry Haig spoke with Dr. Anna Reid, the head of the Canadian Medical Association, on the findings of the organization’s latest report.  It concerns the devastating link between health and poverty. According to the report the situation for many Canadians struggling economically, has gotten worse over the last 15 years.

And Carmel Kilkenny spoke with Mike Miner, a senior producer at CBC Music.ca about the effort to come with a list of the ‘100 Greatest Canadian Albums Ever!”  It took about a month of heartfelt reflection and discussion.

‘Hope you enjoy the program and to all the Canadians holidaying on Monday August 5th; all the best!
